Probably most of you will end up writing feature stories, not news stories, for your final project. To give you a better understand of the feature style, I have attached a handout that should be useful to you all.
It’s a nuts-and-bolts look at feature stories, though you can see from the advice that stories like “Frank Sinatra Had a Cold” are built around similar philosophies.
Again, take your time and read the document closely. You should try to use the advice in exercises you’ll be assigned as we move toward writing and reporting our major project.
